iPhone O2 Users to Get Free Sky Sports Mobile App for 90 days!

Apple iPhone 3GSAlthough there were indications that O2 would not be considering slashing the price of the iPhone once it was released with Orange, now there are indications that this might be the only option available as Orange is already starting to steal the show.

To counter Orange’s iPhone app, O2 is now offering 3 month subscription to Sky TV iPhone (a popular iPhone app) for free at no cost. Yes, it will be FREE for 90 days!

This application, which has been recently released in the market, will allow users to stream every Sky Sports Channel on their iPhone. Along with this, they will even get the opportunity to access Sports News and Sky News at only £6/month.

However, if you are an iPhone O2 customer, you will be able to avoid this fee for 90 days. What the customers need to do is send a text to ‘2020’. As per the last received information, the first 150,000 customers, who send the text to 2020, are going to receive the promotional code for downloading the app send straight to them.

With O2 currently offering the Sky Sport App and the broadband facilities for free and Orange having unique iPhone apps for their customers (including the Orange Wednesday), let us hope that the Vodafone are going to have similar goodies for their iPhone users come 2010.
