HTC has always been one of my favorite mobile phone manufacturers, they create excellent mobile phones. They have a great design aesthetic and most HTC devices balance features and functions in such a great way; that is why I have longed to see an HTC with Android 2.0 Eclair. Finally, after what is practically years, HTC has finally announced that they will be launching an Android smart phone with the new OS! The Android Hero has been confirmed to be the first HTC device to run the Android 2.0 Eclair. No doubts about it, fans of both HTC and the Android are celebrating this announcement.
To quote the official announcement, “The rumors are true! Hero will be getting an Eclair update. We ask for your patience as we update Sense for the fancy new Android OS”. Honestly, I cannot think of why they are even updating the HTC Sense; the interface is already close to being perfect. No doubt that Éclair will be adding in some new functionality though. I just hope that they retain all the great features o f the original HTC Sense. Well, no real complains here. That’s Android 2.0 and we honestly could not ask for anything more.
Now there is one other rumor floating around that an upcoming HTC device will be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon. Is it too much to hope and put two and two together here? Imagine that, and HTC device running on 1 GHz with a Google Android OS. That may be wishful thinking but there not doubt that plenty of people will be happy if that device becomes a reality.
