Nokia Launches the New Mobile TV Edition of 5330

Nokia 5330 Mobile TVNokia, the Finland-based mobile manufacturer, has today launched the Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition. This is a new and innovative 3G device, which is available in the market with support for DVB-H (Mobile Broadcast TV), music, gaming and social networking. This new handset can deliver access to advanced experience when it comes to mobile TV. The vendor state that this is going to come as a big boon to the users of mobile broadcast TV with their figure expected to reach 300 million by 2012.

Mark Selby, Vice-President of Nokia, said, “The 5330 Mobile TV edition’s introduction is a response to the release of DVB-H mobile TV networks. This is going to be an inexpensive device, which will get the attention of both the new and the pre-existing customers. Today, viewers prefer going online for watching their favorite soaps, sports, news and movies. The New 5330 model will work perfectly for them, as it has the image and sound quality for holding their audiences captive.”

The new model has a 2.4” QVGA screen. Apart from that, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack, EPG (Electronic Program Guide), one-click access for live broadcasts, social networking tools (Facebook, YouTube and MySpace) and IM features (Windows Live, YM, Google Talk, ICQ and AOL). You also get a 3.2-megapixel camera that has an LED flash and can give you excellent video recording.

The new handset is also inclusive of DVB-H technology. Its battery can last up to 6-hours on DVB-H usage. The phone is also compatible with the Music Service and can help you in downloading the music anywhere. It also has an access to numerous applications and customized features, if you opt for the company’s new Ovi Store. It is expected that the new device is going to hit the market at €155, exclusive of taxes & subsidies.
