Nokia has modified the components of its Music PC Suite and even renamed it to the Ovi Player. This new version of Music Suite is also compatible to Windows 7.
As per the development team of Nokia, this new Ovi Player comprises of some pretty much new views to help you in navigation and at the same time, enjoying your collection of music. The new version also lets you to see all the recently added music files in your phone. They are grouped by album and have cover arts too. In addition to this, you also get a ‘filter column’ feature when you opt for the ‘Detailed View’ Option. This is also going to help you in browsing your collection without any hassle whatsoever.
This modified application is compatible to the Nokia Music Stores. It also gives you the option of retracting your music queue, a feature that was missing in the previous version.
In case you are adding more music into your phone, you would be glad to know that you can see the progress of the download while you are using the Player. The application has a Progress Panel at its bottom, which allows you to monitor the transfer status of the music file that you are downloading.
Apart from these features, the controls of this application have also been redesigned for giving you a compact and enhanced response.
