Buyers of the successful and impressive E71 have a right to be dismayed, the upcoming E72 features right about the same features, with a few upgraded extras. At this point, we can all ask Nokia a collective: “why did you not put it all in the first device?” with that said, the E72 is on its way to UK and straight to the hands of awaiting buyers. The device has been delayed long enough as it was originally slated for a third quarter release date this year. From looks of it, mid-fourth quarter did not cause fans to lose interest in the phone.
The Nokia E72 has similar hardware to the E71. The most notable is the well designed full QWERTY keyboard on the face of the E72. This was first remarked on the E71 as at that time, only BlackBerry devices had ergonomically sounds keyboards on the face of the phone (though many have adapted to other devices).
The E72 brings new features on the table, such as a 5 mega pixel camera, HSUPA, faster HSDPA and UMTS. The E72 also has an optical track pad called the optical Navi key, this makes using the device a lot easier since users no longer have to press on the navigation keys but can just smoothly slide their finger over the Navi pad. The response is reported to be quick, accurate and creates a seamless transition from command to reaction.
Nokia will be offering the E72 in three colors, Zodium Black, Metal Gray and Topaz Brown (which is basically fancy ways of calling black, gray and brown –though the E72 does look stylishly smart in terms of shape and form). This slim little device is touted to have a price tag of 350 Euro (before subsidies), buyers hoping for a cheaper deal might want to see which carriers will be offering the E72.
