Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is Here

Sony Ericsson Xperia X3Well, NOT physically here; but its as good as any news for the dying Xperia series. After having two major failures, it’s a wonder that Sony Ericsson has still continued producing the Xperia line. They did announce some weeks back that the Xperia X2 will be the last Windows Mobile device they will release and that does sound like a real solution to us. There is an update on the SEMC Blog, showcasing the new teaser video from Sony Ericsson.

It is just a white-silver device, and frankly, I’m not impressed with the video itself. What I am awed about are the confirmed specifications for the X10. I am equally spellbound by the thoughts of how the device would look like in matte black.

Seriously, the Xperia X10 is a far deviation from the original Xperia series; the first two Xperia devices were named X1 and X2 and both were notoriously disappointing devices. When Sony Ericsson first announced that they were creating the Xperia series, they tagged it their high end series of device with the best features they can offer.

What they produced were lackluster devices that not only failed to live up to the hype of superiority, but actually failed to meet the average standards. Seems like after two devices, Sony has learned from its mistakes; the new Xperia is showing that Sony is definitely headed in the right direction.

Initial rumors about the 3rd Xperia phone named the device as X3 and Rachel (my, what an interesting choice). Well, Sony Ericsson has finally revealed Xperia Rachel, X10 to the public. The name seems rather impressive and leaves so much to interpretation by skipping numbers 3 to 9 completely. X10 is obviously the new face of Sony Ericsson, with its Android OS and 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, I cannot think of anything better.
