One of the nicest things about the Nexus One is how it looks. Phone specifications aside, nobody can really tell what figures a mobile phone is carrying simply by looking at it. Performance is always important as well as features, but sometimes, all it really boils down to is whether you want to be seen in public fiddling with such a device.
Thankfully for both tech geeks and fashion conscious individuals alike, the Nexus One is a very visually appealing mobile phone. Phone Arena shows some images of the phone in all its glory. The dark-gray matte finish complements a very wide user base. It’s dark enough to look professional and formal –making it fit to bring to dinner events or to the office. At the same time, not having an overly glossy finish gives it that hip and rugged feel that makes it cool enough to carry to the mall or to the local pub.
As one would expect of a touch phone, the glossy screen occupies the larger part of the front of the device, leaving room below for a single physical button. The rest of the Android buttons are also on the glass screen. A single mini-USB slot is at the bottom of the phone, though some would have preferred to have the slot on the side.
The screen does a great job at displaying the graphic interface and content details. One screenshot shows the Nexus One displaying a finely detailed map. When the display is off, the phone looks a little standard looking –which is a mild disappointment for such a high profile device.
Initial reactions to the Nexus One are reminiscent of the praise and acclaim that was given to the old Droid Eris, though there is unmistakable improvement in speed thanks to the 1GHz processor.
