Sony Ericsson has brought out a tiny device for a big surprise.
It is expected that the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 will be shaking things up for the Android community once it gets released this coming March. The Android smart phone has been in the news headlines since the XPERIA X2 got announced. Now, as the weeks draw closer to its release date, Sony has announced that the Mini version of the device will also be released soon.
The fact that the X10 would be getting a mini version was announced about a month ago when images and reports of the XPERIA Robyn popped up in the news. The device was literally almost half the size of the X10 and would deliver a trimmed down set of features that would help SE break into the low to mid range Android market. The X10 is currently SE’s first attempt at the Android and while they excel at making high end devices, they have to tap into the larger market to meet the profit the joint venture so badly needs.
The X10 Mini follows the original X10 in form and style. The visual elements of the XPERIA series are clearly evident in the Mini’s slightly curved buttons and the deep lines that follow its contours. Specs wise, the Mini is basically a watered down version of the X10.
Sony Ericsson is currently marketing the device to a younger generation of mobile phone users with the wide array of colours available. There is black, pearl, silver, red, lime, pink and white color variants available to choose from.
Aside from the X10 Mini, Sony Ericsson also revealed two more devices during the MWC, the Vizaz Pro and the X10 Mini Pro.
