Sony Ericsson has confirmed that both the Vivaz the Elm are arriving sometime soon, though no exact release date has been given. It was noted back at the Mobile World Congress that the Vivaz might be popping up around the same time as the SE XPERIA X10 which places the Vivaz at a mid march launch date –hopefully, the same thing applies for the Elm.
For those who missed out on what these two phones are, here is a quick look at the Vivaz and the Greenheart Elm.
The Vivaz is a Symbian smart phone that was originally announced as the Kurara. It is one of the SE U-series devices is like an offshoot of the Aino and Satio series of devices. The Vivaz comes with an impressive 8 mega pixel camera that is perfect for taking high quality images thanks to its high native resolution and the help of autofocus and LED flash. It also comes with SE’s face and smile detection features.
Even better is the camera’s ability to take videos in 720p HD quality –you will definitely want to buy a high capacity memory card for this feature. Being one of the first smart phones to feature 720p recording, there has been a lot of interest in the Vivaz for quite some time now.
It has also been revealed that there will be a Vivaz Pro smart phone. The device will have the same specs as the Vivaz except for camera. The Pro will only have a 5 mega pixel camera though it will retain the ability to record videos in 720p format. This device will come with a physical slide out keyboard.
The Elm is one of the Greenheart devices announced last year (the other being the Hazel). Expect to see this eco-friendly candy bar device in store shelves soon.
