Samsung’s New Android Comes with Super AMOLED Screen

Samsung Galaxy SSuper AMOLED technology is something that Samsung should never be shy about using. After all, when the first super AMOLED screen was shown off at the Mobile World Congress last February, it easily showed everyone the true capacity of a mobile phone’s screen. So far, no other manufacturer has managed to create a phone screen that matches the tone and color quality of Samsung’s design and this superiority carries over to the upcoming Galaxy S.

The Samsung Galaxy S is an Android smart phone that literally popped out of nowhere in the past few weeks.

While it was already announced early on that 2010 will be the most prolific year for Android handsets, everyone thought that Samsung was too busy with its own Bada mobile platform to be working on a new Android handset. The Korean company happily proved many people wrong and has presented the new i9000 Galaxy S with not only the latest Android version, but also a larger super AMOLED screen.

The 1GHz CPU powered smart phone is launching in the next few weeks and will be competing with the Nexus One, the Desire and the XPERIA X10 for the position of best high end Android. There have been some rumors about the possibility of a Galaxy S Pro which will also come with a slide out QWERTY keyboard though Samsung has yet to confirm such news.

Feature wise, the Galaxy S will come loaded with the TouchWiz graphic user interface and will be making use of Smart Life and ThinkFree. The two new services are debuting on this device while the Samsung Social Hub which was first featured on the Wave handset will also be present.
