Apparently, 1.7 million people all over the world simply do not care if the iPhone 4 is pretty much one of the most underwhelming smart phones to ever be made available for consumers.
The issues and problems with the Apple iPhone are plenty. From problems with the touch screen display to reception problems, there are plenty of “just launched” issues with the handset that it is hard to determine if the hype is really worth it.
For all the folks at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino –it certainly is. Steve Jobs has publicly apologized to people who had to be turned away due to the lack of stocks; which is basically Jobs mocking the whole industry for criticizing his Flash-incapable smart phone technology.
In many ways, it is not surprising that the iPhone 4 managed to sell so much on its first couple of days. The fact that the previous Apple iPhone handset is the most iconic smart phone our civilization has ever seen great adds a big effect to the overall reputation of the iPhone 4. But for the new handset to be measured entirely in its own merits, the new phone pretty much needs to be pulled by the manufacturers and have the issues get fixed.
One of the first major issues is the lack of support for customers with phone complaints. Apple has shrugged off the initial wave of people stating that the reception of the handset turns bad when a certain part is pressed during a conversation –it was particularly insulting of Jobs to state that people should simply hold the phone differently.
Another issue is the problem with the staining on the touch screen displays. Apparently, a substance used in the manufacturing of the TFT touch screen display has not dried properly. This has been causing plenty of problems for users who now have to deal with a large yellow smudge on their screen.
