Free Reality App For iPhone A First In The UK

001_worksnug_ARWe are thrilled to announce the launch of a new, free augmented reality application made by Worksnug – which will be the first free program like it in the UK to feature in the iPhone App Store.

The application makes use of the compass, GPS and the camera to locate the handset user and then transmits information regarding close by venues for mobile working. Although, because it needs an in built camera and GPS to function properly it will only be available for the iPhone 3GS. Luckily however, it seems highly likely it will also be available on Android powered mobile phones in the not too distant future.

The founder of Worksnug, Richard Leyland, as well as three of his employees have trekked into London over 200 times in order to assess each venue and give it a rating based on the availability of power outlets, Wi Fi and other things mobile phone users might be looking for in the area.

When using the app, you will note that locations appear in order of closest to furthest away, and include information on whether or not the venue will let you access free Wi Fi or not.

Users will have the ability to add and review more locations straight from their mobile phone using email or Twitter to send a message straight to the Worksnug team.

After London, there are plans to make the application available to the residents of San Francisco before eventually being released in other cities.

Anyone who wants to take a further look at this very innovative app can head over to the Worksnug website, where a video has been made available.
