After coming up with the Blackberry Magnum and the Blackberry Pluto, Blackberry seems to have tweaked its game plan by announcing the imminent release of the Blackberry 9300 Gemini. Being 3G-capable, the 9300 stays true to Blackberry’s 9xxx series that are also have multiple network capabilities. The exact features specifications of the Blackberry 9300 are currently unknown. However based on the information that’s available, the following are some of the features that are expected to be there once this Smartphone is released.
On the onset much comparison is being made between the 9300 and the Blackberry 8900 Curve. However, sources say that the former will possess a larger screen that should have a higher resolution. Based on specs of previous and current Blackberry models, the 9300 is expected to have a 500++ MHz processor. What’s definite though is that the Blackberry 9300 will support tri-band HSDPA and UMTS and quad-band GSM, GPRS, and EDGE. Although it is yet to be confirmed, it is likely that the 9300 will have Wi-Fi capabilities. The 9300’s camera is expected to be at least 3.2-Megapixels.
Design
In terms of design, the Gemini will look a lot like the Blackberry 8900. In fact, it’s actually dubbed as the “Blackberry 8900 3G”. This means that not only does it share most of its features, but the overall look and feel of the Smartphone will also be quite similar to that of the 8900. Sources also say that the Gemini is likely to come in a silver shade, much like the Blackberry 8830. The QWERTY keypad will be much like that of the 8900, except that the Gemini keys will be more rounded.
