The Motorola ROKR ZN50 gives its users a new way to play and tinker around with the phone interface using a unique three panel design that gives you three different home screens to choose from. Simply glide over the touch screen and you can instantly switch between three different home screen that are fully customizable. While this feature seems reminiscent of the new Android smart phone, it is still a welcome feature to have.

The ZN50 also sports a T-DMB2 digital TV tuner that is capable of receiving TV signals and displaying them on the wide, 3.2 inch touch screen. It has a native resolution of 240 x 427 pixels which is more than enough for its humble 3.2 mega pixel camera. This phone also supports triband GSM signals and can connect to HSDPA for going online.

Aside from the above features, this phone also uses GPS technology; which means that you can get some very useful map applications as well. Of course, getting a good map provider is a completely different factor.

This Motorola phone also has the usual features you would expect from any good smart phone. Bluetooth, a micro SD slot that can handle up to 16 GB cards, a 3.5mm audio jack (always a welcome feature), and of course a really good touch screen. The built in web browser is easy to use but may take a little getting used to. On the other hand, customizing the phone in its entirety (including all three home screens) is a breeze and is quite enjoyable to do.

The phone itself is very light and weighs a little less than 150 grams, but is still fully operational for long periods of time thanks to its 950mAh battery. On a full charge, this device should give you a whole day of continuous music playback.
