HTC has just announced its latest way to personalize the new Tattoo mobile phone, which is currently available for purchase on the Vodafone network.
The new service will let owners of a HTC Tattoo handset upload their own designs to the website, or pick from a number of popular colours and shapes.
The website, TattooMyHTC.com, has just gone live, and it really reminds us of the days when Nokia was creating a few handsets where you could cut out your favourite pictures and use them as decorations inside the mobile phone’s cover – they were all the rage for awhile there, and I can remember distinctly hunting for a decent picture of Homer Simpson that would fit perfectly; this is the modern day Nokia cut out – and it looks just awesome.
If you want to get a pre designed cover, it’s going to cost you £11.20, or if you feel like letting your creative side loose, you can create your own cover for only £14, with your newly designed HTC Tattoo art being sent out to you within 14 days time.
Looking at the site I did notice that you can get 20% off your first cover, although I can’t see if this is a limited time offer or not, it is a good deal and well worth taking advantage of – especially if you have only just acquired a HTC Tattoo and are looking to add a personal touch to the exterior.
The mobile phone is available on an 18 month contract, costing £35 per month – which may not be as cheap as some of the recent Android handset releases, but is still more affordable than HTC’s previous releases.
