The LG BL20 is a truly amazing GSM mobile phone. Very few mobile devices are as stylishly sexy as this latest incarnation of the Chocolate. The original BL40 Chocolate Touch was a little clumsy and hard to use. Despite the touch screen capabilities, the old model was simply not at par with other touch screen phones of its time. The same no longer applies for the BL20, this phone has been carefully designed and is made with a style that is designed to last different trends.
More than a Makeover
Despite having a similar name to the original Chocolate, the BL20 is more than just an upgrade to the mobile phone. The BL20 is a revision, keeping all the good things and totally revamping everything else. The slimness of this mobile phone is noticeable because it actually has a slide out keypad. If LG can do the same with a full keyboard on a smart phone, that would be very impressive.
Touch Receptive
First the touch screen has been removed and replaced with a 2.3 inch QVGA display. Not as graphically impressive, but this screen still gets the job done. Interface now happens with a series of flat touch sensitive controls on the main screen. The response of the touch controls is pretty impressive. You can tap and slide your fingers on the buttons and they will instantly recognize your input. For more detailed controls, slide out the beautiful looking keypad and enjoy the resilient feel of the buttons. The feedback is subtle and the keys let will let you know you are pressing it right.
The Right Market
While the LG BL20 Chocolate has features that can be appreciated by everyone, one can easily see that this phone was made with women in mind. The easy controls, slim size and colors are all designed for the comfort and aesthetic tastes of women. Of course, men can still use this phone without looking odd, but the subtle feminine design is undoubtedly present in this phone.
