What’s not to love about the Nokia 5330 XpressMusic? It offers impressive multimedia features, allows for varied ways of connecting with people and to top it all off, it comes in a striking design that simply commands attention.Although it’s positioned as a music phone, it’s quite a respectable all-around mobile phone. The only drawback being that it isn’t equipped with smartphone capabilities and perhaps this is where the LG KT770 might have an edge. Still, this unit is quite versatile. I think it is clever the way Nokia put the Xpress name to this model as the unit really does elicit a range of emotions and for those who like expressing themselves, this is indeed the ideal phone for you.
Of course, because Nokia targets music lovers with this phone, they incorporated features designed to optimise the musical experience. It is equipped with an enhanced S40 music player so that it is compatible with numerous (and I say, numerous!) audio formats – AMR, MIDI, MP3, WAV, WMA, RealAudio – you name it, it seems the 5330 can play it. It has touch music keys that affords you better control over your presets. You can create and edit lists, synchronize music and even share your playlists.
Another great thing about this phone is that you can access social networking sites such as Facebook directly from the phone. It also enables chat and messaging – in fact you send and share photographs that you’ve taken using the unit’s 3.2MP camera. To facilitate communications, the Nokia 5330 supports GPRS, EDGE, HSCSD connectivity as well as GSM and WCDMA networks. It has integrated A-GPS preloaded with Nokia maps. These are just some of the highlights; there are many other features that make this an excellent mobile device.
Plans to release the Nokia 5330 are sometime during the third quarter of 2009 (along with another Xpress model, the Nokia 5730) with a price tag of 160 euros.
