This week we’ve seen pictures and some specs come to light for the latest Samsung Armani mobile phone.
The idea here is that Armani wants a new, designer handset for customers who care about fashion, although to be honest the mobile phone is a little bit fatter than we are used to seeing lately, with slim being king.
The mobile phone is officially called the SCH W8200 and is, of course, a slider. It’s quite impressive in terms of looks with a slick golden edge, and the Giorgio Armani icon showing proudly beneath the display; after all, when you buy a mobile phone as a fashion statement you want everyone to know just who made it.
We can also tell you that the specifications for the handset are impressive; it’s good looking and it has substance – something you don’t often see in recently released luxury models. The camera is a very respectable 5 mega pixels, the AMOLED touch screen also fares well at 3.1 inches, and the device supports HSDPA and Bluetooth connectivity as well as having support for microSD. There is currently no word on whether or not inbuilt GPS will be a part of the Samsung Armani or not.
Currently there are no release date or pricing details available, but with so many specs already known as well as several official looking pictures doing the rounds online it cant be too long until an official announcement is made.
The device will likely cost a lot, even for a luxury model, as that will encourage the feeling of exclusivity and reinforce the fact that this phone is just plain better than most of its rivals who don’t sport the same impressive specifications.
