Predicting Profits for the Samsung MBP200 Pico Projector

Pico-ProjectorSamsung announced its microprojector early this year and it is called the Samsung MBP200 Pico Projector. From the looks of it, it seems that Samsung has yet again created a device that is sure to rake in profits. This projector boasts of Texas Instruments’ DLP Pico chip so the MBP200 can project images on an 8 x 11 sheet of paper to a surface that’s up to 50 inches wide. It is equipped with a telescoping pole so you can convert a sheet of paper into a viewing surface.

The MBP200 projector which has an HVGA panel can be attached to a mobile phone or a laptop so you can proceed with your presentations without delay. As added convenience, you can also load content into the projector’s microSD card slot and do away with external devices altogether.

An additional feature that will also be useful for executives is the document viewer of the Samsung projector. It can view Word, Text, Excel and Powerpoint documents as well as PDF files. You can also use the device to view photos of JPEG, GIF, Animated GIF and MBP formats.

Other microprojectors being offered in the market that are quite similar in size to the MBP200 are 3M’s MPro110 and the Optoma Pico Pocket Projector. The Samsung MBP200 Pico Projector measures 107.3 x 48.8 x 19 millimeters and weighs 160 grams. It will be made available this year and it will set you back around £445.
