Samsung has launched the latest mobile phone in its long list of handsets, the Samsung Jet S8000, which promises to be quicker and more dominant compared to the earlier devices. It comes with an 800MHz processor which has the ability to fulfill the promise.
It is quite a small mobile phone with 108.8mm in length, 53.5 width and a thickness of 11.9 mm. The Cubic interface opener, camera key and the buttons have been placed on the left side of the device. Cubic interface opener and the camera have been combined to make it look like a volume button. The response of the touch screen it generally very good as expected by Samsung, but still does not compare with the i8910 HD. This could be due to sporting a much smaller screen. It may be a little troublesome to press the right icon sometimes, but most probable you will get accustomed to the handset very soon.
The mobile device has a cube system which makes it very simple to navigate, and also is good fun playing with it. There is a link for every icon in the base of the screen, for users who are not able to get it on the cube. The phone is also integrated with music, radio, video etc. It is a good to use the cube arrangement for media, as when you tap the surface for a particular function; it opens all the options like video, songs in a stack which you can go through.
On the other hand, most of the options are a little complicated in their placement, and especially the ‘flick to choose’ feature is more a display of the capabilities of Samsung rather than a very convenient function. The video player is very good but in some ways it is not as striking as some other Samsung devices like i8910 HD and Tocco Ultra Edition.
