Why the Samsung i7500 is a Great Phone

i7500Samsung has finally announced its first-ever Android mobile phone, the Samsung i7500 and it is looking like it will be pitted directly against the iPhone or at least the HTC Magic. The cutting edge features of this phone may make it one of the most loved mobile devices yet and gadget freaks the world over can’t wait to get their hands on this latest offer from Samsung.

samsung-i7500The Samsung i7500 sports an AMOLED screen which is increasingly becoming the standard in mobile phone display because of the exceptional quality colors and images that it can display. AMOLED screens are also less prone to breakage and they are light so they don’t add much to the weight of the phone.

Samsung’s Google phone is also equipped with lots of storage capacity. It has an internal memory of 8 gigabytes but you can expand this to as much as 32 gigabytes. The phone is equipped with a microSD card slot. It also has a 5 megapixel camera and is compatible with a variety of multimedia codec formats. It can play MP3, AAC, RA and WMC audio formats among others. It is also compatible with MPEG4 WMV, H.263 and H.264 video files.

The phone also comes with a 3.5 millimeter phone jack, something that other Android-based mobile phones lack. The best thing about the Samsung i7500 is its HSDPA, HSUPA and WiFi connectivity which accounts for very fast browsing experience. And of course, because the i7500 operates on Android 1.5, also known as Cupcake, there will be a variety of Google services offered on the mobile. Just a few of these are Google Talk, Gmail, YouTube and Google Latitude in which you can share your location with your network of contacts. The i7500 doesn’t have a physical keypad rather it makes use of an onscreen keyboard. The phone is slated for release in Europe this June but pricing is yet to be announced.
