Although it isn’t a dedicated Cybershot mobile, the Yari still has formidable camera with a 5-Megapixel resolution. The interface is straightforward and simple to use and boasts features such as smile & face detection, geo-tagging, and image stabilization. The camera also lets you shoot QVGA videos at an acceptable rate of 30fps.
The Yari also sports one of the easiest to use mobile web browsers in the form of the NetFront 3.5. Aside from loading pages at a quicker rate, the mouse pointer and full-screen view mode also make the overall surfing experience a breeze.
One of the newest and best features of the Yari is its gesture gaming capabilities. With a GestureTek-powered optical tracker, the Yari‘s camera is able to translate your movements to virtual game actions. This technology is pretty much comparable to what the Nintendo Wii uses—only a super downsized version. You can choose between two easy to play games: Fitness or Tennis. For the latter, all you need to do is to place your Yari on a flat surface, position yourself in front of it, and start pretend-whacking the ball ala Andy Murray. Who would have thought you could have this much fun on a mobile?
