Come the third quarter of 2009, mobile phone users can look forward to yet another excellent product from Sony Ericsson. The Sony Ericsson S312 Snapshot is ideal for people who love documenting their lives through photographs and videos. The main selling point of the S312 Snapshot is its enhanced video and still image capture capabilities. Now, video recording is made even more effortless through the dedicated video camera key of the S312 phone. The 2 megapixel camera boasts of features such as illuminated keys, Photo Light and Photo Fix. The illuminated keys are shortcuts that allow you to modify settings so you can take shots without delay. Photo Light and Photo Fix enhance lighting, contrast and brightness to improve the quality of your pictures.
Sony Ericsson is also highlighting the organizational capabilities of this phone, although I do believe there are other more exciting features. The S312 Snapshot will ably assist you with keeping track of your life as you can input reminders and important dates on the phone.The S312 Snapshot is equipped with a music player that filters tracks by album, author, composer and genre. Its FM radio with integrated RDS also displays track information as you listen to music. There is also a nifty function called TrackID which is essentially a music recognition service that identifies a song based on a recorded sample.
This camera phone is Internet connectivity equipped so you can send and receive email messages whilst on the move, publish your photos on the Web, download games and applications and so on. Its Bluetooth connectivity also allows data transfer to other Bluetooth devices for a range of up to 10 meters.
With these premium features, the S312 Snapshot is indeed a worthy successor to the Sony Ericsson S302. The company launched the S312 together with the W205 Walkman phone but has not come out with a pricing scheme for either of the two units.
