The Nokia E52: More to it Than Just Business

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009
Nokia-E52-GreyNokia has just confirmed their desire to expand the range of their E Series family by adding the Nokia E52 into the mix. Although this new Smartphone may come with all the features that have made models such as the Nokia E71 and the Nokia E75 so successful, critics claim that this is more than just a business Smartphone. The E52 also allows users to stay in touch with the non-business side of their life.

Social Smartphone
The multimedia package of the E52 is quite impressive. Aside from a 3.2-Megapixel camera, it also sports a variety of music friendly bits such as an FM radio, an all-in-one music player, a 3.5mm standard ear jack, and support for Bluetooth wireless headphones. Staying in line with other Symbian S60 Smartphones, the E52 also comes equipped with a WAP 2.0 xHTML browser that has a built-in Flash support for full viewing of graphic intensive websites.

Aside from having all of Nokia’s Ovi services, the E52 also has support for Yahoo! Instant Messaging and Windows Live. MySpace and Facebook users will also be glad to know that the E52 also allows for easy access to such social networking sites.

Still on Top
However, the Nokia E52 still does not fail to live up to the E Series’ reputation of having top of the line business Smartphones. Not only does it come with Nokia Messaging to facilitate in setting up email accounts without a hitch, but it also allows viewing emails in HTML so long as the user stays connected to the Microsoft Exchange 2007 server. Users shouldn’t have any problem reading and editing documents as the Quickoffice suite is also installed in the E52.

Expected to be released in the third quarter of 2009, the Nokia E52 will have an estimated launch price of around £220.

Nokia E52:Use It The Way You Like

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009
Nokia-E52-GreyThe Nokia E52 is an open space band based mobile phone which suggests that it can be used almost anywhere in the world if there is network. Nokia E52 comes with HSDPA 900 and 2100 and is also called a 3.5G phone. CSS, HTML as well as XHTML web technologies can be used on the web browsers of the Nokia E52. You will be able to checkout all kinds of websites.

Nokia-E52-GoldenE52 is more of the backward device when compared to the other phones of the E-Series group like E71 and E 75. It is a phone good for messaging, but does not come with a dual or QWERTY keyboard. The good feature is the unusual battery life and this will make up for that. E52 is a very slim phone and just about 9.9mm in thickness. It is fine as far as the phone is strong and does not break from the middle. Another attraction of this Nokia phone is the supposedly 23 days of standby battery time, and you can talk for eight hours before recharging the battery. This is quite amazing especially if you think about the fact that E52 will have Wi-Fi, GPS and use HSDPA data. It will also be an asset for data transfers when you browsing the web.

Nokia E52 makes sure that you always stay connected with high speed connectivity. You can also browse the net through the WI-FI® if it is available. E52 has been Bluetooth® enabled and you can easily connect devices which have Bluetooth® and transfer data conveniently. It also has the option of connection through wire by making use of the USB connection.

In case your present mobile phone allows you to delete messages one by one you will be relieved with the multiple SMS removal option in Nokia E52. This may not seem important but your inbox management can be a problem without this feature.

It isn’t hard to believe that this new Smartphone can actually last up to 28 days on standby without needing to recharge the battery. With loads of impressive features and such a powerful battery life, the Nokia E52 has the potential to replace your office desk phone.

Bring Your Office on the Go
Setting up email on this Smartphone is made easy by the E52’s support for Nokia Messaging, IBM Lotus Notes Traveller, and Mail for Exchange. Users will have little to no difficulty adding work or personal email accounts on the E52 and the brand new straightforward user interface makes it very easy for users to access their emails with minimal fuss.

An important feature of the E52 is that it is also equipped with a noise cancellation feature. This makes sure that voice quality is crystal clear during calls no matter where you may be. All these features come on top of other functionalities that have become a mainstay in E Series Smartphones such as the Nokia E71 and the Nokia E75. This includes a 3.2-Megapixel camera, high-speed HSUPA and HSDPA connectivity, and A-GPS support, among other things.

Moreover, the E52 also has a built-in Mobile VPN system that allows for trouble-free access to company intranets. Also included is the Call Connect support that will allow companies to integrate the E52 with their corporate phone systems.

Additional Info

Can’t Wait for the Nokia E52!

Monday, July 6th, 2009
Nokia-E52-GoldenComing out in the third quarter of 2009, users can no longer wait for the release of the Nokia E52. Ever since the huge success of the Nokia E71, consumers have seen the Nokia E Series as one of the best lines of business Smartphones in the industry today. After unleashing the brand new Nokia E75 to the market in April of this year, Nokia has announced that they intend to add to the E Series family with the Nokia E55 and E52. This has brought much excitement and anticipation in the highly competitive world of Smartphones.

What’s in the Bag
The main difference of the E52 from its predecessors is the absence of QWERTY keyboard. However, users need not fret as the E52 sports a highly functional, user-friendly standard keypad that’s both soft and has ample space between the keys to ensure hassle-free composition of messages. Its dimensions are 116 x 49 x 9.9 mm and weighs only 98 g. Its 2.4-inch screen comes equipped with a TFT colour display that makes use of up to 16M colours at a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.

The E52 also has a 3.2-Megapixel camera that can display up to a maximum of 2048 x 1536 pixels. It’s also capable of capturing VGA videos at 15fps and the secondary camera allows for video calling.

There’s More!
Similar to other E Series Smartphones, the E52 will also run with the Symbian S60 OS. It supports GPRS, EDGE, HSCSD, 3G, and Bluetooth technologies so users are sure to be connected at the highest speeds. Surfing the internet will also be a breeze as the E52 allows Wi-Fi connectivity and users can utilize the Smartphone’s WAP 2.0 xHTML browser to visit their favourite websites. The E52 also has a 60MB internal memory but users can upgrade the external memory to as much as 16GB via the microSD slot.

The impressive features of the Nokia E52 will make it a sure hit for customers once it hits the stores even though it has quite a hefty price tag of an estimated £220.

No Surprises with the Nokia E52

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009
Nokia-E52-GreyNokia recently announced their intention to release the Nokia E52, another addition to the company’s highly successful E Series. This is another handset that is catered to the business users and staying true to the nature of its predecessors, the E52 comes equipped with extensive connectivity, loads of useful features, and a never-fail metallic design. However, this model has already received some criticism from experts who believe that the E52 is nothing more than a Nokia E55 clone.

Nothing New
Nokia-E52-SideExcept for the QWERTY keyboard of the Nokia E55, the E52 is practically the same mobile. The E52 supports HSUPA and HSDPA technologies at 2Mbps and 10.2 Mbps respectively. Aside from having a 2.4-inch colour display, the E52 also comes with Wi-Fi and GPS capabilities. A 3-Megapixel camera, a digital compass, and an accelerometer sensor to facilitate automatic screen rotation also come on board.

The E52 also boasts a maximum of 23 days of standby time and around 8 hours of talk time. Although all of these are quite impressive features, the fact still remains that they are practically the same as with the E55.

Pales in Comparison?
What put the Nokia E Series on the Smartphone map was the Nokia E71. This model was awarded by TIME magazine as the premier Smartphone of 2008, topping the likes of the Apple iPhone 3G. It is true that the E52 may match or even slightly better most of the features of the E71, but the problem is that this model was released nearly a year ago. Surely Nokia had to have discovered new technologies since then, right?

The Nokia E52 will hit stores in the 3rd quarter of 2009 and is expected to have a launch price of around £220. Because of the absence of the QWERTY keyboard, this mobile is about £20 cheaper than the E55 which means that it might be quite a reasonable trade-off for some consumers.
