T-Mobile G2 Touch: An Exceptional Android

tmobile g2After more than half a year of anticipation, T-Mobile has finally released its follow-up to the G1 (aka HTC Magic). The new T-Mobile G2 Touch – which also happens to be the HTC Hero – hopes to build on the considerable success gained by its predecessor. Similar to the G1, the G2 Touch will also be sporting Google’s Android OS which has been labeled as one of the best mobile operating systems in the market which is capable of competing with the apple iPhone’s proprietary OS.

Joining the Android Revolution

A lot of critics have been saying that the G2 Touch is probably the best Android-powered Smartphone in the market today. Although there aren’t too many devices which fall in this particular category, this still remains to be quite a distinction as most, if not all Android devices have received multiple rave reviews. This stems all the way back to the G2 Touch’s predecessor, the T-Mobile G1/HTC Magic, which was the first Smartphone to feature Google’s impressive operating system when it was released back in October of 2008.

Aside from having the latest version of the Android OS (version 1.5), the G2 Touch will also feature a lot of other notable features. Also on board is a 5-Megapixel camera, full data connectivity support (GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, 3G, WLAN, and Bluetooth), a GPS receiver with A-GPS support, a full HTML web browser with flash support, and a multi-format multimedia player.

Hard Evidence

Running under the hood of the T-Mobile G2 Touch is a powerful 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7200A processor. Along with 512 MB of ROM and 288 MB of RAM, this guarantees that the hardware will be able to meet the requirements of the Android OS to ensure a smooth overall navigation experience for the users.
