One of the sore points of choosing PrePay over a monthly paid line is the mobile phones being offered by the providers themselves. In line with the theme “the global crisis is here to stay”, it appears that providers like T-Mobile are finally getting it and are offering attractive PrePay deals to subscribers rather than forcing them to get a fixed monthly line or suffer the indignity of getting an ugly (but new) mobile phone. T-Mobile Vairy Touch is a good example.
Since the phone is already available in the UK, you can check out whether there are some juicy deals available today. As the name implies, the Vairy Touch operates with a resistive, touchscreen display. However, it doesn’t have a Windows operating system and we’re told that it’s harder to manipulate the touchscreen controls.Well, that’s the price you would have to pay because they’ve reduced the price tremendously on this one. Of course, the Vairy Touch doesn’t have all the features of the iPhone. The Vairy Touch doesn’t even have the photographic finesse of phones like Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA X1.
But that doesn’t make a sour deal entirely, does it? You can still enjoy the 1.3 megapixel camera and basic features like multimedia services, short messaging services and multimedia fun. Yes, you can play videos and music with the Vairy Touch. If you’re like most people, you’d prefer something inexpensive but with relatively interesting features. Some people still buy low-tech mobile phones (a case in point: the Nokia 1200, which has zilch to offer when it comes to multimedia) because they want the bare essentials.
Now, we think it’s only practical that T-Mobile forged a partnership with ZTE UK to produce the T-Mobile Vairy Touch. That way, even low-earning folks can get in on the action and enjoy the same well-rounded features that pricier mobile phones have to offer.
